THE PAST ♥ FOLIO 7

“I don’t know how or why everything happened. Sometimes, it feels as though I was never meant to be in a relationship. I want her. I need her. I want to have her in my life. But I missed her… and somewhere along the way, I lost myself too.”

I ended those words looking somewhere else, thinking about her.
Shekar remained silent for a moment. “Could you please tell me where it all started?”

I took a deep breath.

HUMAN CONNECTION ♥ FOLIO 5

“Nothing like that. I’m just a human being. I love my life and value it. I try to be kind and help whenever someone needs it.”

He leaned slightly towards me. “Tell me. If I can help you, I’ll definitely try to figure it out.”

I didn’t know how to say it. I paused.
“I was suffering from depression.”
“Who’s that girl?” he asked.
I stopped.

FOLIO 6 ♥ THE TRUTH

I looked at him. How could he be so accurate?
“These generations are drenched in the ocean of breakups,” he said.

I took a breath. “Just listen to me. I failed in a relationship. We never broke up, yet somehow, we aren’t together anymore. Love brought us together, but I don’t know where it went. Somewhere along the way, I lost her. It left me depressed, and I began to lose hope in life.”

THE BENCH ♥ FOLIO 3

Ufffffff… The weather was cool, but my temperature was rising.

A stranger sitting on the bench nearby was staring at me, probably wondering what the hell I was doing. His look made me stop kicking the floor. He had a dignified personality about him.

I ignored him and started watching Instagram reels, scrolling through my phone. For a while, even my frustration disappeared.

FOLIO 4 ♥ OBSERVATION

“I’ve been watching you since you came here—the way you behave, the way you spoke on the phone. It makes me think you’re suffering because of something you’ve lost or something you desperately want to attain.”

He paused.
“It seems like there’s something you want in life more than anything else.”

I was shocked by his words. “Are you an astrologer? How can you predict things about me? Do you have some kind of superpower to read people?” He laughed.

PUDUCHERRY JUNCTION ♥ FOLIO 1

“Welcome to Puducherry. For the kind attention of passengers, Train No. 11006, Dadar–Chalukya Express will be arriving shortly on Platform No. 5.”

The roaring crowd rushed across the platform, desperate to catch the train. I was one of them. One of the most terrifying experiences is trying to catch a train when you’re running late. It feels like a herd of bulls rushing into one place, pushing and jostling. If you slip and fall, you’ll probably be smashed into some new shape.

Finally, I made it out of the crowd. I had escaped the battle.

FOLIO 2 ♥ THE DELAY

Suddenly, another announcement echoed through the station:
“Your attention, please. Train No. 17656 Circar Express, is delayed by two hours and the expected time of arrival is 2:30 p.m. Passengers are kindly requested to wait. Thank you.”

After hearing the announcement, I felt completely vexed. I looked at my watch: 12:30 p.m. I felt tired, removed my backpack, and threw it onto the bench. The thought of waiting another two hours made me restless. I kicked the floor in anger, fed up with the delay. I remembered something that had happened to me in the past.

♥ BEHIND THE PEN ♥

Meet the Author

Independent author, storyteller, and writer of HOPE: YOU WILL COME.

I am Kiran Kumar, an independent author and the writer of my second novel, HOPE: YOU WILL COME. Born on 14 October in Gudur, Andhra Pradesh. I come from a suburban background, carrying my passion for storytelling from a simple beginning towards a world of imagination, emotions, and meaningful connections.

My journey as a writer began while pursuing my degree, when I chose to start reading novels. What began as a simple interest gradually grew into a passion for reading books. I loved exploring different stories and sharing my reading experiences with friends. Those conversations and the emotions I experienced through books slowly inspired me to create stories of my own. Before I realised it, writing a novel had become a passion I wanted to pursue.

While completing my engineering degree, I wrote and published my debut novel, Being Humble… Way to Live. However, family struggles and responsibilities later led me to focus on building my professional career. Although life demanded my attention elsewhere, my love for writing never left me. Even when I was occupied with my profession, my desire to become a writer remained alive within me.

Beyond writing, I love travelling, especially devotional journeys that offer me a profound sense of divine connection and spiritual experience. I also love reading, believing that every book has something to teach and every story has the power to touch a life.

For me, writing is not merely a passion, a profession, or a dream to fulfil someday. It is the life I have chosen for myself. I want to live as a writer and die as a writer, spending my entire lifetime creating stories and expressing the thoughts and emotions that words allow me to share.
